A practical way for observing the changes in your team is to talk to them every day.

A manager of a large food company once shared his experience. He said that if he sees a subordinate walk in and sit down in the morning without saying a word, he wouldn't wait and go talk to him/her on the spot.

He said that if he misses the timing, what might have taken three minutes to talk through would have turned into an hour or two.

When a team member needs to knock on his door to seek help, he perceives that he has lost the timing.

Observe your members for changes, and do not miss the signs is a phrase we often hear. What if we take one step further and build a habit to spend three minutes talking to them every day? Create interaction within three minutes would serve as a practical way of observing them.
